Winter storms

The storms this weekend have impacted us here in the north of Wales with rain more than the gales. Heavy rain culminated in these floods on Sunday 20th February. Not the gentle Nant Ewyn stream but a brown frothy torrent. Quite thrilling to be alongside and sense the incredible might of fast flowing waters.

Welcoming all as spring unfurls

As the first signs of Spring push through from the cold soils below they are joined by the growing chorus of abundant birds in the natural haven. The Snowdrops are first harbingers of the coming abundance of Spring. The primroses are swelling and will soon spread their glory across the ground followed by the glory of the daffodils and native lillies.

Come and stay in cosy cabin looking down on the gushing stream. Come away from the distractions and stresses of busy lives. Come and be immersed in the natural world. Come and be held in the healing embrace of this sacred valley.

There is a warm welcome waiting for you in this green valley.

Re-opening from 13th July 2020

After nearly four months of lockdown Shepherds Stream will be open to guests again from 13th July 2020.

Our cabin by the stream is waiting for you with a new upgraded futon sofa-bed and improved electrical supply. The hermitage cottage is nearing completion but won’t be available for another few months yet.

The grounds are as beautiful as ever as is the valley and mountains. The cascading stream is singing it’s song - come and listen, come and stay a while in the love and peace of this place.
